I wonder if people realize they are bidding on a quarter and not the half.image

Hopefully they enlarged the picture to view the coin and didn't just bid based on the holder.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Well, I'm sure the people who think it's no big deal to auction a buffalo dollar holder with no coins while showing a picture with the coins in it would just say "caveat emptor" and that the poor suckers who bid get what they deserve.

The bid on that holder is now 6 cents up from 1 cent, but down from $305 at the high point. Guess people re-read the auction details.

would ANACS honor their guarantee of authenticity?

sureyl it is not an authentic 1907 O 50C as the slab certifies

Candidly, this doesn't bode well for TT either. Clearly they don't have numismatists working there, or at least involved in the auctioning process. To have Anacs have a mechanical error on the coin is one thing, but then to actually photograph it and list it, that would have required someone to have looked at the coin!

I have grown further and further away from wanting to deal with Teletrade other than PCGS certified moderns...bummer, because they use to be real good. Now, I shudder when I press the link to a coin labeled "rainbow". One coin almost made me sick. And that's not even taking in to account that they without a doubt enhance the photography on coins.

  • A while back on these boards I shared my '32-D quarter I bought on TT as a '32-P. Apparently nobody noticed it but me. Its being reholdered as we speak (type).

I guess a lot of people buy the plastic!
