Is it OK to sell a die struck "not geniune" coin if....

you disclose that up front.??
Example: A Three Dollar gold piece back from ANACS not gueniune die struck.
Is it alright to sell it as such??

    Many people collect contemporary counterfeits.

    My problem would be that the next owner might not so disclose this little bit of information. Maybe you could stamp it "copy"?
  • Of course, if you say what it really is.
  • Yeah ...... but it could lead to someone not being so up front about it in the future. I have some counterfeit coins and I took an engraver to most of them. One of them is lead so there would be no confusion but the other is, with the naked eye, a nice looking CC morgan. It's underweight and "rings" funny but it could easily fool most anyone out there who doesn't know about weights and such.
    I was called "stupid" for engraving the coins that I did right here on this forum ........ by a counterfeit collector.

    My only concern about that is that the *next* seller might not be so ethical.
