eBay sure has its share of morons.

I got this eMail a few minutes ago:

<< <i>YOUR EBAY NAME FITS YOU CHEAP..9.00 FOR FIRST CLASS,,YOU CAN MAIL 40 SETS FOR THAT AMOUNT,,CHEAPIE >>

The shipping is $8.95, which includes insurance. It's a 1999 silver proof set that weighs 8 ounces with packaging, and is currently at over $350. After adding in packaging costs, I might break even.

Oh, and the nitwit thinks he has a cool eBay handle - shipping-police-2005.

I trust you explained that to him or her?
  • 40 sets for that amount....sheesh....no one is that stupid. He knows better.

Sitting around on a Sunday evening harassing honest ebay sellers with ridiculous comments in a desperate bid for attention.

If life ever gets you down, think about how pathetic this poor sap's existence is.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Yeah, I did, and I even avoided the urge to point out what an idiot he is.

I am sure that this protester could easily save money buy driving across town, or if his town doesn't have a coin store, to another city close by, burning up a few gallons of gas, killing a couple of hours and saving himself that $8.95 in your shipping costs, by spending $10.00 in gas and more in lost time. image

  • I once had that situation or similiar where I was called on shipping charges and actually charged him for multiple shipping and lost money ie less than face value (shipping and coin value included). I did not complain and honored my ebay contract (lost about 3 bucks). 4 days after I mailed the package I received a paypal payment for an additional $3.50........ from the winning bidder

  • I just got an email from a buyer of 2 of my coins I sold to him (after taking like a $40 bath on them)... they sold for like $ 2 each... wanted to compine $ 1.23 postage on both....lol.. that's the exact cost of a confirmation package....

I told him that I'd ship them to him free....lol.......

    $ 1.23...... image
  • How abot the people who charge 4.25 first calss mail you win 10 items for .99 cents and they will not combine s/h fees ? 42.50 for s/h?LMAO
I got him to reduce it after many emails to him and ebay but it still cost me 10.00(it was worth it but.....) and it ALL came in a first class call .77 cents package
I see it all the time where ebay will not put a stop to s/h gouging? why? just a thought

Actually if you could get 40 sets into a flat rate box you could ship them for less at $8.10. Wouldn't leave much for insurance but then again insurance ISN'T shipping.

40 sets for $9; rip van winkle probably thinks gas is still under $1 per gallon.

With all the morons on "Flea-Bay", is it any wonder that I have been seeing in the "Want-Ads" villages accross the "fruited plain" looking for potential idiotsimage!

But Russ WAS including insurance, and I'll bet the guy knew that, so that's what's relevant.

There have been rumors of a "kindler, gentler" Russ. Then again, maybe he just forgot to take the meds. image

Just so you guys don't think I've become some compassionate weenie, I note that I did block the nitwit.
