1999 Wide AM with neat die clashes.

I'm not very familiar with the wide AM Lincolns, but are these die clashes typical?

I've had great transactions with people like: drwstr123, CCC2010, AlanLastufka, Type2, Justlooking, zas107, StrikeOutXXX, 10point, 66Tbird, and many more!

Yes, it's a 1999. I'm sure the photo on the right are die clashes too. Here are some additional photos.

I'm still working on taking photos that better represent the coin, but you get the idea.

very nice find... how'd ya find that die clash.... image ? the one on the right looks like a die crack, not a clash, btw.

these are tough to win on ebay without digging too deep into a single dad's budget for coinsimage

I found one in my pocket, slabbed out at 64. Sold it.

  • I added a zoom of the clash in the Memorial bay. Mine is in NGC65RD plastic right now.
I also have the counterpart. The 1999-S close AM inNGC PF66Ultra CAMEO.

Neither are high grade but I wanted an affordable example.

That's neat. EVERY 1999 Wide AM I've ever seen has exactly the same clash detail between the pillars.
  • Also on my coin there is a light die crack running from the Memorial Building to the back of the E in UNITED.

I think these Wide AMs are very cool varieties. I once talked to a fella on ebay who actually owned half the populations of the 99's in MS64 and MS65 in PCGS slabs. He didn't want to sell 'em when I had the money. I wonder how many he kept image

The values have continued to climb right out of my budget image now.
  • One of mine does not have the clash between the columns.
Another has the clash on the reverse as well as a clashed obverse. There is a clash under Abe's chin and above his bowtie that looks like a square Adam's Apple, a straight line from the bottom of his hair to the lapel of his coat, and a line from (almost) the tip of his beard up to his lip. This coin is also a small broadstruck out of collar error.
I'll try to get photos later but don't know if my new camera can get in that close.
