  I believe an ANACS grader Tom Fahey relocated to ICG, if thats what you are remembering. My gut feeling is that their new slabs are not particularly well-liked here tho I don't recall an official forum poll ever being taken.

  1- I believe there is supposed to be a spread of denominations for the buffalo in the future, with the same weights as the Gold Eagles
  
  2- At the very least, ANACS hired Miles Standish from PCGS

  I just got a coin back from ANACS the other day. Blue label and curved top, too thick for my old PCGS boxes. Wish they put the serial number/ID on the front so a photo ID didn't require two pics. Rough edge on the side center where they glued it? Holder seems to be quite solid to feel and look at and the coin wasn't loose or rattling.
  
  Received what I feel was a very fair grade. Turnaround time was 6-1/2 weeks for regular service. I don't recall the particular complaints, just a lot of people complaining, possibly about all of their holders. The last time before this when I submitted a coin to ANACS, it came back in a flip with a postcard photo of the coin. This is a big improvement.
  
  I'm not familar with the various modern holders. Photo of my holder is on this page.

  I have not heard that they're coming out with smaller versions of the one ounce gold buffalos but I'm confident they will. They'll sell a bunch of them and make more money proportionately relative to the one ounce versions.
