Standing Liberty Quarters...Some major sets being built...

Having collected a few sets from the time I was in High School ( a jillion years ago ) to today, I have to admit that there are some major players coming into this arena. The recent B&M sale of the James Lull collection and Len Hazen collections had more incredable coins than I have seen since the Chicagoland sale a few years ago.
Superior Galleries also had a few "more than memorable" items as well, specifically the 1927-S in PCGS 65 FH.
Knowing the new owner of this great rarity, I will let him add the image and he can extoll the virtues of this coin.
Heritage's Denver Sale had quite a few nice coins in it as well, the most noteworthy was the 1919-S NGC 67 with almost a FH ( ex: Elaisberg ).
I open this thread up for the "new" lions in this field...us "old folks" would love to see your sets imaged. Heck, I'd like to see all the SLQ sets imaged. I think that there is only one set aside from mine that has any images at all.
"Just Having Fun"... when may we expect to see your set ? ...I'm waiting patiently...
To start out - here are a few things from my set:

<< <i>Who's building a major set???
Although the 19D in B+M did bring an impressive amount
The collector (Malibu Collection) who did buy the 1919-D at the B&M sale for one 80K++ and he's got some monsters in his set, check them out...only a few images though...but nice stuff !!
Also, RoelSports is going gangbusters...
Laura, I thought you knew all the new " Big Elephants" out there. Some very serious money being played with on SLQ's in high grade.

I know that Full Head coins are typicallybetter struck than non-FH, but can one always determine if a coin is uncirculated by checking wear on her knee, or are there quarters that are not fully struck and "appear" to have wear but in reality not fully struck?

This series has it all; a beautiful design, rarity and variety. For such a short run of dates, there are four types and one overdate; 1916, 1917 T1, T2 (17-24), T3 (25-30) and the 18/7-s overdate.
My biggest problem with this series is the lack of detail in circulated grades. A VF Barber coin or Indian cent has a bold pleasing appearance. However, below XF, SLQs lose too much detail. The delicate features disappear and when Liberty's knee is flat, it's time to look for a higher grade. Take a look at a VF 1916 and examine the shield. There's nothing left! VF Type 2 coins often have mushy dates too. Can you think of any other series where the grade of Very Fine is not pleasing to the eye? I cannot.
If I could afford a full date/mintmark set, I would go for an AU-58 near full head grade. But for now, I'll have to look at pictures in this forum and become very jealous.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
