To say this coin has nice and cherished original surfaces, would be like saying, "Babe Ruth could hit a baseball". I like this original patina look on these classic coins.

I like that coin a whole lot. The wear is more in the AU 50 range, but the surfaces make up for it. Take away that major obverse hit and I would really be all over this one.
Okay this coin is a perfect example as to why an original surfaces designation is needed... this coin is worth a premium and it is because it is original and attractive and is significantly better than the average for this grade.
