It looks like he places the coins down in a shallow puddle of liquid and then cooks them. I found it strange/interesting/cool that the only toned parts are the worn spots.

Maybe they could give him some ethics and allow him to start producing those as education tools for a "where to look for wear" series.

WHY SELL PRIVATE?" I HAVE HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH INTERFERENCE FROM OTHER SELLERS...THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I COULD PROTECT YOU THE BIDDER. MY BIDDERS WERE GETTING EMAILS TELLING THEM NOT TO BUY AND THEY WERE OFFERED THE SAME COINS CHEAPER.

How are these painted Morgans different from the enamel-painted State Quarters?

I can't think of any way in which they're different image
What do you think, Mr. Bigglesworth?

  • While his disclosure is not great, at least he acknowledges straight out that they're "enhanced." Plus, he's only defacing circulated common date morgans, not, say, limited mintage proof indian head cents. image

At least he admits to the alteration, unlike others.

He says their "Naturally" ehanced. There's an old thread on this board where I found a guy had cooked an 1888-O Scarface...and turned a 3-5,000 dollar coin into
crap. The common dates...that's where all the rare vams are...
