06 Legacy Set, is it worth it?

What is the big deal with the Legacy Set. Two proof coins @ $35 each, plus a clad proof set @ $22.95. So for $135 you get $92.95 dollars worth of proof coins. They should at least include a silver proof set. Why are individuals so drawn to this set?? One more thing, the Mint claimed they were sold out of the Franklin commems, guess not. I wonder what other coins are in their inventory, that are supposedly "sold out".

They did sell out of Franklins. They kept 50000 especially for the Legacy sets. They said from the beginning that they were doing this. Not defending the US Mint or anything, just stating the facts. image
