Pop Report - General Question

Can someone enlighten me on the pop report -
If I look in the July 2006 book at the 1901-s barber quarter, there are "Total Graded" of 392. If I total across it comes up way short.
If I look online, the "Total" is only 115. If I total across it ties to 115.
The lowest grade listed in both reports is a catch-all of VG-VF. Does the book add in coins graded below VG and online it doesn't?
