What do you think of the swanky new website of Coin Rarities?

LongacreLongacre Posts: 16,717 ✭✭✭
I checked out their site to see if there was any preliminary report about Denver. I was pleasantly surprised to see a totally new website. It is very regal looking. I like it and it seems very well laid out. People on these boards seem to like to critique dealer's websites, so here is the link: Coin Rarities

Looks very nice, clean and professional. I especially like the "freakshow" Lincoln:

Very nice. I love the descriptions and really liked the The Head of a Fool Stamped on the Neck of an Ass!

I think its one of the better coin websites I've seen. I agree it loads quickly, unlike some of the others I've visited.

The website is very professional, informative, and quite descriptive of the coins for sale, incl. good pictures. This is not a surprise as both David and John are consummate professionals, and it is a pleasure to deal with either or both. imageimage

Excellent website, actually I think it's nearly perfect. A very nice inventory with reasonable prices as well. And as an added bonus they are located fairly close to me as well. image Bookmarked.

    Thanks all for the compliments.

Actually, we are not nearly done with the changes but wanted to get the new look going as soon as we could -

You'll note some of the text is in odd sizes (such as the micro coin descriptions) which we are fixing now -

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Exceptionally well done site. Looks like Laura helps with the copy, though:

Hey -- we both sure appreciate the kind words. We are trying hard to keep the site moving forward, keep it interesting, and keep it fast.

We recently contracted for space on 2 dedicated servers just so collectors who clicked on photos would see them instantly. Nothing worse than having to wait for a "coin fix"!
