Who are the ANA Shows really for-- collectors? dealers? the non-collecting public?
Who does the ANA really set up the annual conventions for? Is it for the collectors to meet and greet other collectors and attend live seminars? Is it for the dealers to use the bourse to transact business and generate profits (what other profession makes it so easy to draw customers to a central buying/selling location)? Is it for the non-collecting public in order to potentially get them interested in coins and promote the hobby? Or are the shows for another reason. I have my thoughts, but please discuss what the primary reason is for the shows.

Probably a combination of all three, but mostly for the collector. He/she can browse, window shop, buy, sell, and just make a great day out of it.
