What's that coin have that this one doesn't? Compare the hair detail near the knot and the knot itself...Liberty...definition in the buffalo's head and mane.
That's more like it! Yet even with that coin, check out the hair detail on the buffalo's head--it's lacking I think. This is supposed to a near-perfect coin in every respect.
When I read your first post I figured the coin probably graded 67 even though I would have graded it 65, 66 max. However, the coin does appear to have very nice color (blue on the reverse and shades of orange elsewhere) and the surfaces appear flawless. But the strike is below average for a 13-P Type 1.

Chris, I guess this would count as a win. If only it were mine.
Hmmm... I've seen better examples in 63 holders. It definitely doesn't have the "pop" that I would expect from a 67. PCGS doesn't seem to care as much about strike as NGC. My problem is that I tend to forgive too much if the strike is solid, and I get disapointed when I get grades back.

<< <i>I'd say 63+ also, but what's wrong with the Indian's temple? Looks like it's either damaged, or has some gunk on it. >>
Hmm, I think that's a strike characteristic.

Whatever's wrong, it must not be much. Buff lovers, check this out, but don't dwell for long--it might make you wonder, what's the use.

I had a hammer strike Ty1 that was completely mark free that I sent a couple different times and never came back over 66.

I was going to say 63....
