Hey guys I just got my first cheesey little metal detector and I went into my back yard to the very very back and I got my first find! A little different than the bottle cap or nail I expected.

I'm done detecting there forever though, because it seems to be that I found the last guy who tried to dig here's shovel...

Ok well I just wanted to show you guys my first find!

    Reminds me of that Saturday-Night-Live bit where the guy is metal detecting and finds the same model metal detector that he’s using.

    LOL---- That is funny. I bet you had fun on that one.

    Looks like you need to be careful not to hit the target when you dig. You knocked some rust off ;-)

    Yeah I even knocked a whole peice off. I just set it next to the shovel lol, at least it's not some rare find.image

    One of my first finds was the copper gas line that runs from the propane tank! image
    Analog Rules! Knobs and Switches are cool!

    I think your digging a shovel as your first detecting find must be some sort of omen... a good omen, I think. image

    What brand of detector is it?? If you bought a really cheap one you may not find anything.
