I'm thinking the mini set will be more fun/valuable than the standard sized set. Thoughts?

Just bought two boxes. Assuming I do go for the mini set, I'd be willing to trade all of my standard's for mini's.

I just posted my box break in the other A&G thread. I'm looking over ebay now to see how I did.

Edited to say: Eh, not too bad. Stuff would sell for $126 (not counting the commons). So considering I paid $104 for the box, I got most of a base set and I'd be paid $20 for opening it. Suppose I better list everything now, unless someone on here wants to buy the stuff.

I'm going for the master set: base, SPs, minis, autos, relics, postcards, N43s, etc., basically everything except the rip cards (though I'll probably get one or two) and the full player sets of Grady Sizemore and Frank Thomas. I'm interested in any wood cards. I've got 2 boxes coming sooner or later, but my seller is kind of vague on dates. I'm focusing on the autos right now, so if you've got any of the tougher ones, let me know.

so whats the deal with the No Number cards?..

the no number mini cards are pretty rare...1:60 packs. The A&G SP's are 1:65 and the rarest are the short printed blacks at 1:130. The
bazooka backs are 1:125 and numbered to just 25, so I guess we can assume that the print runs on the NNO's would be just 50.

Every pack that I open which contains the Topps add card has only five cards from the actual set. Did Topps do that on purpose? If so, it sucks. I have opened a lot of other packs that had only four or five cards. Awful quality control. I have a bunch of dinged and OC cards.

I only plan to build to base set with SPs. I have pulled one auto so far....Travis Hafner.

JoeStalin --- i couldn't agree more ... this product is like crack cocaine.

I'm beginning to acquire a decent quantity of the #/25 Bazooka minis, as well as the No Numbers. I'm also definitely attempting assemble complete Regualar and A&G Back mini sets.

Which parallels are you guys attempting to put together?
Which cards/subsets/inserts do you think will continue to hold/rise in value from this set?

Busted an A&G Hobby Box tonight (my first one!) --- it was A LOT of fun. I just love these cards..... here are a few of my pulls:

Ended up with the following:

- Ted Williams postcard

- 2 relics: Jenks plate 1/1, Barmes GU jersey

- 3 black mini's: 345 (Mantle), 141 (L. Hernandez), 349 (Jesse James)

- 5 A&G Back mini's: 4 (Wells), 106, (N. Johnson), 103 (A. Boone), 105 (Pettite -SP), 110 (Cabrera)

- 16 Regular mini's: notables include Greenburg, Bob Gibson, Pujols, R.Howard

- A slew of base cards with several SPs

- A slew of Dick Perez sketch cards

I have one more box I plan on busting tomorrow or Friday (If I can hold out that long).

As I've mentioned more than once, I'm looking to trade ALL base cards and ALL black mini's as I try to put together a regular and A&G Back mini set together. I'm also contemplating on going for a Bazooka #'d/25 set.

Ok I have bought a Hobby box, and 3 blaster boxes and am ready to build the set. Being new to the board I want to do this right, so any help will be appreciated.

Should I list the one's I have for trade or the one's I need or both?

Are there trading rules? Since I am new I am sure I must send mine first, is there a trader rating like ebay feedback, etc....

There are a lot of good traders here. You only have to search for the heritage posts and see them all. This is the trade post so
post what you have and what you need if you can. It might be shorter to post what you have. I have quite a bit of base for
trade and some sp's. Im assuming you don't have a lot of sp doubles for trade yet?

I am doing a mini set and Geordie is doing the A&G back set There are some others doing sets too.

I look forward to doing a trade with you. List what you have pulled so far.

I opened a box of these today and then immediately got on eBay and bought another. Absoutely love these cards. It will be tough to decide which parallels or inserts, if any, not to collect.

One question, though: Does the RIP-card concept card strike anyone else as ingeniously cruel?

Opened my second A&G Hobby box. I only bought two ($85 each shipped when they first came out) --- wish I would have bought more. This box was quite a bit better than the first box. I hit some huge hits!

Ended up with the following:

- Mark Teixera N43 card

- 2 relics: Kobayashi (hot dog guy) auto, Lew Ford auto

- 1 Bazooka (Randy Winn #23/25)

- 1 No Number Back (Andy Irons, surfer)

- 2 black mini's: 66 (Dan Johnson), 230 (A. Ramirez)

- 5 A&G Back mini's: 276 (Brooks Robinson), 266 (Nolan Ryan), 177 (Cordero), 179 (Burnett), 180 (Guillen)

Overall, opening this box was an absolute thrill -- best $85 I've spent in quite some time.

I think that any set that has Jennie Finch, Danica Patrick, Takeru Kobayashi, Randy Couture, and Hulk Hogan is super. I'm pretty sure that I just want to build the base set and SPs. I'll probably pick up parallels for the Pirate cards. I have a bunch of minis including about 10 black borders and 15 A&G backs to trade. I also have about 60 cards to return to Topps because they came out of the pack with beat corners.

I plan to sell or trade these two as well.
