Oldnewbie- I edited and posted the results of today's detecting trip in the first post.
IF I go out again before the weekend, I might have another chance to get "silvered", which of course ups the number of drawings in the giveaway. But don't count on it. I had a tough time today.
I used to detect quite a bit but haven't been out for some time now. I use a Garrett GTA 500 and like it allot. I live on the left coast so dont have as much to hope for as you right coasters do. Oldest I have found is an 1912d Barber dime in about vg. Over the years besides the usual normal clad change I have found a bunch of wheats, a small handful of silver, some jewelry, misc other things and a TON of garbage..lol Good luck in your detecting.
