Which is the better show ANA or FUN?
If I had to compare last August's ANA to FUN I would say the FUN show was well, more fun

It would depend on what you were interested in. Both shows have blockbuster auctions either the
official ones or others piggybacking on the show crowd. What is in the auction that you are interested
in could be a deciding factor.
Location - many people like a break in Florida in January, others like going to different parts of the country.
lots of other things that I can't think of right now.

Disorganized and poorly run seemed to be the hallmark of the SF ANA show. Circumstances sometimes
come together to cause things to not go well. Every organization will have disasters happen from time
to time.
The seminars, the auction, including the auctions surrounding the event.
The Numismatic Theatre, exhibits, attendance by world dealers and collectors all make the ANA the best event.
I enjoy the FUN show and it is probably now the second best show, but for an organization with no paid staff, that is simply fantastic.
There just is no way that FUN will ever eclipse the national event.
If you can just attend one, then the summer ANA is THE event to attend, bar none.
I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.
