Can somebody report this scam artist?

ShamikaShamika Posts: 18,785 ✭✭✭✭

I noticed this sad story which isn't even the correct coin. Then I noticed the image had been stolen from Anaconda's inventory. Can somebody report this guy?

Thanks

Doesn't that story just bring a tear to your eye? Except . . . she claims to know nothing about coins, yet lists it as MS67. Gotta wonder whether that zero feedback bidder is for real.

Both imascambuster and nothiscoin hace zero feedback. The names are so contrived as to sound like sarcasm, or an insider joke.
Brings to mind that bad check once issued by U R A Sucker which the FBI has publicized.

Also, there is no S on that buffalo, which makes it even harder to believe that either bidder is anything but a shill.

Those bidders are clearly NOT shills. They are bidding to alert others and to make sure no one gets taken by the scammer. By the way, it appears to be a hijacked account.

I say let the auction run

I want to see the war between nothiscoin and imascambuster this could top out in the hundreds of thousands- maybe millions!

and then think of the fees associated with the seller.image

i think i'm resurrecting my ebay name from the grave and puttin a big on it.

    ya think?

    Color(s): Silver (needs cleaning)

By all means, polish it up first then put it up for sale! image

The story makes it sound like the coin carries a curse!! Could it be responsible for the Grandfather death in some way? Could it land the seller in jail an dthe buyer empty handed? I'm staying far away....image

Why does ebay make it so difficult to report auctions such as this one....

Thank You for the HEADS UP Becky! I guess since Ebay is so slow to enforce their policies some of the Forum Members step in.

If the image is being linked to your site - you should change the image and leave the same name. Only change it to something that would get this seller banned...

At least that what I have done once in the past when someone linked to my website without permission...
