Lincoln Cent Experts: Is there something different with the "s" on this 09-S VDB?

Link to coin

I was using the magnification tool to look at a number of 09-S VDB's, and when I came across this one something didn't look right.

Look at the "s" ... and your thoughts would be appreciated.

You're right, it does look a little odd...

...but does that beautiful 09VDB cent come with it? image

The obverse looks like it has a fingerprint on it.

It has the die chip in the B in Liberty. I doubt it's fake.

Not fake. The spotting and finderprint brings it to MS-63 Rd. Actually, it's a bit nicer than MOST Lincolns in MS-63 red. You rarely come across in red for that grade, and when you do, the coin tends to be ugly.

This die just got heavily eroded in the mint mark area. Nothing to worry about.
