The TV salesperson says that there are only 2 per state available for this hour...

A person returns a coin because they are a better grader than PCGS...

I've done that. Am I better than PCGS? No, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong if I see an overgraded and/or dog of a coin. What you said is that you don't like it when your customers buy coins, and not holders.

You send a really nice coin that you painstakingly kept pristine to PCGS and it comes back with a great grade . . . and a FINGERPRINT right on the middle of the obverse!!!

You hate it when....you look at a coin's obverse and fall madly in love with it, knowing that you MUST own it, no matter what the cost......Then you turn it over and something about the reverse immediately makes you fall out of love

kinda funny side note, I had a dealer give me $90 for a coin i paid $30 for , and $30 for a coin I paid $60 for !!!!!

Absolutely correct, I have a coin right now sold to me that PCGS made a mistake on. Most probably because of a bulk submission. 1999 Pennsylvania Silver Quarter graded PR69DCAM, which has a huge gash in George's neck. They'll be seeing it again under the grade garauntee.

If it's a coin you want and can afford then bluntly demonstrate to the dealer your ability to make large purchases. Next time they see you you'll have them wrapped around your finger.

I am presumably older than p8nt and Leiana but to this day I still get the "you probably can't afford it since you look young" physical expressions all the time.

Check out my sig. line regarding those "experts" who think they are better graders than the professionals at PCGS and NGC.

I hate it when , ...I go to shows and wear T shirts and cutoffs and ask to see a high dollar coin and you get that "look" , they will not let the coin leave there eyes..... Ill inspect the coin , and if I decide not to buy it , I'll act like i am and semi pull out a wad of $100's just enough for the dealer to see and say "no thx".....maybe someday they'll "get it"

one of the few dealers who NEVER treated me like this is Julian.............

On the flip side, I hate it when somebody asks to see a bunch of coins out of your display cases without the intent to purchase anything or they sit and "camp" at your table wanting to chat while you have other things to do. I also hate it when people who don' t have the courtesy to shower, wash themselves or make themselves less repulsive to others walk up to your table and with their body odor or behavior scare away your real customers.

I was at a show in Oklahoma City and this guy was walking around that smelt so bad the guy running the show asked him to leave. Never smelt anything so bad so I really hated that. I also got my car stolen at that show and really hated that. Got a ride home back to Dallas with Ed Hipps and heard the same stories he's told me 50 times and I really enjoyed that.
