I agree with Jeremy, and furthermore I will suggest that the photos saturation/hue has been messed with...Mike

I put in a bid. That coin seems to have a lot of forum connections.

It is offered by our own HTubbs.

It looks like one of the MadMarty hoard proof Jeffs! image

Couldn't be AT - Hayden is selling it, and it's in PCGS plastic image

Seriously though, for the price, who cares? And of course, it comes with the PCGS guarantee.

Exactly! If someone really wanted the coin, the last thing they should have done is put it here.

Yes, it comes with the PCGS guarantee. That guarantee covers market value for a PR67, (which ain't much). If it sells for some stupid amount, the guarantee is of little benefit.

since it seems to be a blatantly manipulated picture it's hard to judge whether the color is real or not, but i suspect that it's genuine and doesn't really look like that. whenever i see toned Jeffersons from the late 50's-early 60's with intense Proof Set tone they are glossy and brilliant, not flat and pastel like this.

No. It was one I bought well below the price guide value. They cut a check for more than it cost me, but not as much as the price guide. They came in right at a realistic market value.

I have some 1960-61-62-63-64 proof sets in mint flat pack cello that have nickels that look like this, except that they are not "splotchy" or dull. So, I couldn't make a judgement based on this photo. image

Oh, I don't want it. Splotchy reverse, apparently a fingerprint. Yukk..

    I just haven't seen a nickel that color before.image
