Am I a seated bust dollar specialist? By no means. Still, this wasn't a bad deal...

<< <i>When you have the coin in hand, you'll recieve your 'You Suck' award. I fought tooth and nail to get Superior to honor a similar sale. They won't budge and ebay won't enforce it cause, like always, they protect their "Power Sellers". >>
Were you part of the Crazy Days $1.00 sale winners? What was the resolution?
Ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies.
Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
<< <i>Nope, I won this the last time they screwed up and had $100 BIN's. The resolution? From both ebay and Superior, "Here's your money back. Screw you and the horse you rode in on." Not an exact quote, but you get the idea.
Report them to the SPCA!

<< <i>Has anyone ever tried to hold their feet to the fire? I'd really be curious to know. >>
Yes, I tried. Got nothing but refunds and ignored by ebay.
<< <i>If they can get away with this, why can't everyone? >>
Not everyone's a Power Seller.

<< <i>Seriously, one of these times they need to own up to stupid mistakes, or Ebay needs to force them too. It's not like it's a single occurence.
-Daniel >>
Collectors feel that way, dealers stick up for them.
The first time, I would agree with the dealers. The 2nd time....well, everyone makes mistakes....
The 5th, 10th, 20th times......they need to get new help, slow down, doublecheck their work, etc........they make too many mistakes for me to want to trust them.
Who knows what else they are sloppy on?
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Oh sure, a software mistake that makes all your auctions $100.00. They should cut of all the worthless glitz in their auctions & tell a little something about the item.
<< <i>Why do I get the feeling I am about to read a thread complaining that Superior declined to complete the sale, citing "computer error" or some such....... >>
Not Only that, but KIYOTE will be getting a refund and no RIPS........sorry.....

Dear kiyote2j19,
Thank you for your recent eBay purchases of 1844 Liberty Seated $1
PCGS MS62, 1932-S Washington 25C PCGS MS64 from superior. We're
sending you this e-mail to let you know that superior has guaranteed
your purchases with surety bonds from buySAFE and Liberty Mutual, at
no cost to you. We are legally required to send you this e-mail,
which contains the details of the bond coverage and additional
information about this unique guarantee.

<< <i>Did ya guys neg them? >>
Not yet, but I'm gonna.
About that BuySafe email, that may be your only line of recourse. You may not see the coin, but you may get the value of the bond out of the deal ($100). My buyers claim with BuySafe is still open and pending.
<< <i>I wonder what would happen if someone in CA. bought one of these BIN's for $100 and took them to court, would it stand up? >>
I'm no legal expert, but I would imagine it probably would. If I had the time, money and patience I would've pushed legal action.

Their problem is they use software to relist, not a actual person. You'd think they would've wised up by now.

Do we have any CA. Lawyers on this board who want to advise or do it themselves?

And then you want to give them a negative. If you guys were upstanding in any manner, you would call them and tell them it can't be correct, as opposed to trying to steal from them. A "You suck" should be rephrased as a " You're a good crook". Go to your local coin show and try to swipe a coin laying around from an unguarded booth. May have better results.
I remember a travel glitch not long ago with Travelocity and hotels in Tokyo that were offered at about $10 a night, and many got the reservation. The patrons that quickly got the reservations, were all upset when the hotels and Travelocity stated it was a computer mistake. Most obliged with the reversal of the reservations, and in a simple class act understood it was too-good-to-be-true. But some guy was trying to convince them his reservation was a legit contract, and because he GOT the low (you suck) rates, bought plane tickets for his wife and three kids for the "once in a lifetime" trip, and it would cost his trip too much to have the rooms at the (CORRECT) price. I think the hotel said "ok".
But they gave into the FREELOADER AMERICAN TRYING TO GET SOMETHING FOR NOTHING who knew this was not a correct offering. If I ran the hotel, I would of made sure he did not get the rooms, and make sure he was blackballed from any other interest in my hotel for life. The hotel would have had PLENTY of future patrons, and getting rid of one bad apple would not have effected the chain. Travelocity should have done the same thing.
Don't respond with "dealers always ripping customers", so it is good to be on the other end, or whatever, because that would just be another way of justifying trying to RIP SOMEONE OFF.
But hey, I'm not gonna save the world with this post. Just my opinion, and as always, GREED IS STILL GOOD.
<< <i>Where the buyer has reason to believe the seller has made a mistake in its offer, a court in California (or any other state) is extraordinarily unlikely to enforce the contract. Here, the disparity between offer price and actual value is so extreme, any reasonable buyer would know a mistake had been made. Sorry, there's no free lunch.

What about where the seller make the same mistake repeatedly?
Wouldn't that be like false advertising or something? Like has been said, everyone makes mistakes, but they keep on making the same mispricing mistake over and over and over.......they need a nice slap to wake up and pay attention to what they are doing.

I'm just hoping that their shipping dept is as automated as their auction generator program.
Message From Seller:
Dear Mr. Orth,
Here is a refund for your payment. This item was listed in error. It was
part of our May 29 auction, and because it did not sell at the time, was
returned to the respective consignor. I apologize for the disappointment.
