Ebay Power Seller Status Revoked

As discussed here, Ebay suspended my account during the TNA show for failing to give them personal
financial information over the phone, when I had no assurance who I was really talking with.
All 80 of my auctions were cancelled, and I ended up missing 3 weekends of sales.
Now I get an automated letter that my PowerSeller status is cancelled bcause my ebay sales
have fallen befow the required level....NO CHIT!!!!
After notifying Ebay that it was not MY idea to suspend my account and cause me to lose about $10,000
in sales, and pointing out that I currently have a couple of thousand dollars of auctions running, I did
not feel it was fair to wait 60 days for them to "invite me" back.
Got this letter today from the "president's office" (Don't these execs have last names?)

Thank you for contacting us once again regarding your suspension.
I understand that you are frustrated with the action that was taken on
your account, but our action will stand. For this reason, your
PowerSeller status will not be restored at this time.

Am I totally off the wall in feeling that the tone of this letter is STILL that I have done something wrong and have to be "punished"??

It might work to your advantage, if people don't think you're a powerseller, they might try to rip you like a little guy and bid more

That's what I thought when I read this. It's an odd response to get from Ebay if it was not provoked.

That's what I would going to ask as well......I would love to see the UNEDITED letter you sent them to see why they felt the need to include that...
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

It appears that that level of the pyramid is somewhat disfunctional but don't cut off your nose to spite your face.
The other possible explanation is that ebay buyers have been complaining a lot (I've seen it in the news) that there are too many "companies" doing business through ebay and are refusing to buy anything. Perhaps this is ebay's approach to chasing off the bigger sellers in favor of the smaller individual sellers.
Personally, I'd like the search option to filter out power sellers because at times I don't want to see them, but I don't advocate getting rid if them.

I had to go through my attorney to get reinstated, because they originally demanded that sign a letter
admitting unspecified wrongdoing and promising not to do it again. The Powerseller issue came up later, but I guess
they now want everything to go through lawyers.

Here we are several weeks into this flurry of NARUs and no solid answers from eBay. Kinda weird.
