Hi, All. I'm new here. Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum crowd.
My name is Roman and I'm a relatively new to numismatics. I have only been collecting a year, or so. I'm Russian, but my primary area of interest is Spanish colonials and Mexico. Currently working on putting together a year set of Charles IIII's 8 reales.
I normally post "across the street", but I like the traffic on your darkside board. I don't post too often, but I read 99% of everything posted. Still a lot to learn in this great hobby.

Regarding the no longer posting members, we've all become more lazy than busy I'd risk to say.
Come again in 5 years and tell me how many times you'll still be willing to answer the same questions (about 20 of them on a regular basis).

I know what you mean about answering the same question over and over again. I often get that feeling of not wanting to bother, but try to push it down because, as I realized after finding my first post on these forums, people come here new to the hobby and craving information. And if the community is not there to support them, they will get discouraged and look for another hobby. Darkside community has helped me grow as a collector in my series and showed me true appreciation of the hobby through educational posts, coin show reports, and by answering questions (the same questions already answered, often).
We have a great community here and hope that even if people don't post, they are lurking and would chime in from time to time.
