Paypal Survey

Just curious here. Has anyone else received a survey from paypal? Inquiring minds would like to know. (It's safe by the way, they ask no personal info).

Nope, the scammers just like you because you click through and do their "surveys". image

I wouldn't answer it or press any link to get to it.

Yes, I received a survey after I complained about their web site malfunctioning, and automatically charging to my checking account. I always use my credit card, but this time I got caught in a loop when I hit the alternate funding source button. When I refreshed the page, the transaction went through without showing me a "confirm" page. Cost me $27 bank service charge for insufficient funds in my checking account.

PayPal response to my complaint was, "Sorry, we cannot make changes once the transaction is completed." Their web site malfunctioned, and it was still my mistake. image

  • Five times in the last month I have specifically indicated that I want them to charge my credit card for an ebay transaction and NOT MY Bank account. Every time, they tried Bank account first, since bank "honored" the request, the money was grabbed from my bank account. It cost me $160 in overdraft fees. I'm thinking about removing my checking account as a source from my paypal account. Then I won't be verified anymore but it will protect me from their stupid system.

I solved that little problem by talking to my credit union. I simply told them not to honor nor respond to any paypal drafts from that account. Yes, I did have to draft a short letter to the credit union for their file on my accounts.

Paypal has done that same thing thing to me but then took it from my primary card, which is what I wanted in the first place.

I still remain verified and paypal hasn't notified me of any issues.

Paypal is simply a sleazebag operation and they are trying to avoid CC fees. They don't give a damn about their customer base if they think squeezing a few extra dollars on a transaction is worth all the hard feelings.
"Lenin is certainly right. There is no subtler or more severe means of overturning the existing basis of society(destroy capitalism) than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and it does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose."
