New overdate for the bust half collection.

Although Larry snagged MY 1817/3 in XF, I did manage to grab this very delightful 1820/19. It gives me some comfort to know that now I have TWO 1820's and he still cant find one to finish his date set. image

Regardless, overdates are very cool, and I love them in the mid circulated grades. This VF is about as pleasing as I can imagine. Simply gorgeous and too nice not to share. While I wasnt looking for a Reiver coin, this is one nonetheless.

I love overdate busties, these are from a scanner, therefore they lost their lustre, but
    hopefully they still look nice.

I like your O-102 curl 2 1820/19/possible8 better than the O-101 square 2. The underdigits are much more obvious, and the idea that there might be an 8 hidden under all that last digit silver makes this marriage even more interesting. You have a nice looking coin.image

    CoinLt,

A very nice example of my favorite capped bust half dollar overdate. This coin was conservatively graded by NGC, as the obverse has a flat strike that can be mistaken for wear.

I was hoping to read Stman's comments before I posted anything and look stupid but I'll go out on a limb and say that I bet it looks MUCH nicer in hand!

Beautiful looking overdate John. Those fields look so nice and clean- I love this coin.
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"
  • Pretty coin, and a neat double digit overdate, one of only two in the series.

    Your coin looks great!image

If it is "conservatively graded by NGC", it must be AU55.

LanLord...Your 1827/6 is just a PERFECT looking coin. Just dead, spot on, georgous and undeniably crackerjack PQ circ original coin. Give me a few hundred like that and I'll be done with this game!

    P.S. The 1818/Large 9 is a close second! Beautiful.
