where can I find cheap silver bars?

Does anyone know of a website that sells cheap silver bars? I am looking for a site which will sell 1, 5, and/or 10 troy oz silver bars. My problem is that I am only interested in small purchases (between $40 and $125), and shipping also becomes a problem. Does anyone know where I can make these small silver bar purchases the cheapest after shipping.
PS: Silver rounds and other bars are also okay as long as they are over 1 oz, and not more than 10 oz.

Retail coin dealers, the only people who can buy a $10 coin for $2, and sell it for $30.

* MintProducts.com -- the cheapest I've seen for a mint roll of new Silver 1 oz. Eagles ($135 last I checked, s/h/i included). Not bars, I know, but high quality beautiful bullion.
* Northwest Territorial Mint (http://www.nwtmintbullion.com/SilverBullion.htm). 50 oz. minimum, so that's above your price range, but it might be worth saving up for. Their bars are well-known, mint and sealed in plastic unlike many others, they are reputable with Government contracts and such, and their price includes shipping (spot + 70 cents per oz).
* Try BullionDirect.com -- I can't confirm their shipping, but after playing with their Shipping Tools it seems reasonable.
* Ebay -- at your price range, you might want to go with a reputable seller. Ebay has some of the best deals going in your price range. You look to be buying between 10 and 20 oz. -- the 1 oz buys are too expensive due to shipping, but you should be able to pick up a 10-20 oz. lot for close to the BullionDirect.com price, delivered.

I was a dealer. They just can't AFFORD to do small lots on the cheap. The LIFEBLOOD of a dealer is having the ability to replace what he sells. If he doesn't, he will soon be out of stock and the metal may have moved against his position and now he would have to buy back at less than he sold for.
Bullion dealing is not a cut and dried simple matter. I finally limited my good price on gold to 10 oz or more as that was the MINIMUM I could order and not have to add shipping. I sold quantity silver at +40c and gold at $3 over cost. Whoooowieee!
Less than 10 oz of gold or less than 200 oz of silver and it really is a headache.
And if you have 7 oz of silver, the turnaround cost is prohibitive. It is cheaper to save YOUR money and make your buys when you can afford to.
Silver ....AIN'T going to be $50 this year.
They have lots of bars for sale and I'm sure will help you out. Bryan is an exceptionally nice guy.

My ....experienced....view is that I have lost $2500 in a single day with my time tested infallible market predictions on metals. heh heh
My....gut .....feeling is that gold is dirt cheap in view of the enormous amount of money being pumped into the system and accelerated even more today with Greenspan's new 1/4 point cut.
The unknown factor is whether we head for inflation as we have in the past from lowering rates too far or if we kill the dollar's value, which is my opinion of what will happen.
I hold gold for insurance against the dollar's fall. And fall it is doing and it should fall further.
But it is all speculation.
I would not own silver under any circumstance. Personally, I believe I am too old to wait for it and it is a very THIN market and EASY to crush. Stories of shortages abound and I don't believe any of them. Silver SHOULD always have a medicinal and industrial use, but the photography is getting killed. I have 1000 oz just for beans and a reason to have something heavy and silly. In the shop, we bought silver by bucketfuls and more is always available. Paradoxically, a depression could help silver in a small way as since it is now only a byproduct of usable minerals, the supply could dry up if the world economy hit the skids. But then too, it would not be in much demand.
If you have silver and try to sell it to certain Asians, they will laugh at you.
Hard money is gold. Always has been.
"Poor man's gold" is a VERY apt name for silver.
Mr. Foundingfather could sell 20,000 oz of silver tomorrow whether he had it or not.
The same applies to gold, but gold is a far more liquid market. (more traders)
Here is a link to the commitment of traders in silver......most are holding short positions.

The price is determined by how much guts (and money) you have to continue "selling" it whether or not there is any to sell.
BOTH metals would go to the moon if it were required that you had to have some to sell it.
the interesting part is that the sellers are the c ommercial silver traders. The plain ol speculators are net long. It's a battle.
I still like gold better.

So let me get this straight...
You are holding over 60 pounds of silver you do not want to own and you think the price is going to stagnate?
Sounds a little contradictory.

It's a "just in case I'm wrong" stash.
Now there's an oxymoron!

I'd love to just see a 1794 chain cent.
