No pic, so I don't know if I would keep it for the look or get rid of it and use the proceeds to by a nicer looking one (uncleaned); maybe in a lower grade.
Really depends on the look and what I want in my collection.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Melt it and carry the silver nugget as a pocket piece.

Non-numismatist's Answer -- Then clean it properly.
Evil Dealer's Answer -- Tone it in the oven and sell it as a monster.

It is what it is. There are people who would want it. Still a difficult date, as we know, and some people would love it in their album but not for real UNC money.

would pci grade it perhaps? are they less stringent about "improperly cleaned"

I haven't received it yet but it was very nice, surprised they didn't slab it

Why does it need to be slabbed? To ensure it is authentic? That can be the only reason I see. If it was cleaned, that's the end of the story. If you don't want it, sell it to a collector or dealer who does, with the proper representation. That's what I would do, which answers your question.

I'm with Coxe. Getting it slabbed by another company just to have it slabbed for resale isn't really the ethical thing to do, imo. Like another said, sell it as is with full disclosure and buy something you like...or another '93 O in a lower grade.

If you like the coin just keep it raw as is. I have some problem coins in my collection. Put another way- I wouldn't turn down a classic rarity because it was improperly cleaned, or maybe a chain cent that has some signs of corrosion. I would pay an appropriate price for the coin, less than for a pristine example, but that is numismatics.
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

I hoard key dates, I'd keep it no matter what.
