Eureka! Milagro! Hallelujah! I've finally figured out what to **REALLY** collect!

I haven't bought a single thing toward this collection yet, but I'm totally jazzed with the idea. Here are its cool points --
* Totally contemporary; the articles in question are in many cases circulating right now
* Circulating legal tender
* Generally obtainable at face value
* Utterly ignored by numismatists, so far as I can tell, though they are definitely a numismatic item
* So off-the-radar that they are not present in the marketplace, and must be obtained through personal inquiries and referrals
* Rare, to the degree of fewer than 500 of many issues surviving (I know this) and fewer than 20 in mint state (this is a guess)
* Not treated by any print reference
* Conceptually way ahead of their time
* Artistically groovy & innovative
* Likely to be an object of marvel, wonder, and why-didn't-I-think-of-that in the future
* Endlessly researchable
* Without doubt the stuff of a feature article for the Numismatist
* Probably infinite -- no bounded "set" exists, as near as I can figure
I am going to get started just as soon as I can. Anybody care to guess what I'll be collecting?

That isn't it, but that would be a cool subject too, put away and viewed at a later date. Anybody who has ever sifted through an accumulation of coupons clipped in the 1960's knows this.

<< <i>Lotsa good guesses. One has come very close. But nobody's got it yet.
I know, I know. It's Cladiators personalized postage stamps. If he'd write to me I'd tell him why it won't work. Heck, I'll just post it; you'll need a two-way market.

I guess living in Los Angeles has insulated me from knowledge of such stuff. We make do with Mexican Peso notes
