1909 VDB DDO? It Can't be!

In going through the old box of coins I've had since the 70's, I decided to check for varieties on a few. In checking my 1909 VDB cent (AU to Unc R/B), I'm thinking this might be a DDO. Please see the photos (lots of photos). Am I seeing something for real here -or- am I just seeing something (but nothing special). If it is a DDO, can you provide the variety ID? Thanks.

If this is a DDO, it is the best $10 I ever spent -- at least as a 13 year old.

Hmmm... There may be several varieties of DDO for this date. But unlike this particular coin, the ones that I've seen bring premium money had obvious doubling at the date.

It's not the 1909P 1DDO-001 (A.K.A. The good one.) I have six of them in PCGS holders and the doubling is much more pronouced. You might have a 1909P 1DDO-002 which amounts to a little thicker than normal letters. There's very little premium on these unless you get into the MS range... and even then, it's not a lot.

Finding the "big one" would be nice - but I'm happy if it is just a DDO of some kind. I kind of new to this variety hunting business -- and I've yet to find anything that was not mechanical doubling or master die doubling. So - if this is a true DDO - I am pleased. It is a high grade coin -- I bought it as an "UNC" -- but I'm not qualified to tell. I may just send it in on my next grading submission. Thanks for the Info.
