...maybe I should give him a visit and punch him in the face
<< <i>The coin is similar to PCGS coins, but is graded by ANACS, which is clearly stated in the auction description. >>
So why is PCGS in the title?
WHAT FRICKIN' DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE????
So, someone spent an extra 2 seconds looking at a coin which didn't happen to be in a PCGS holder. BOOHOOO! Ebay has much worse problems than this to worry about.
i mean in the sense that.... if i was looking for bulk gold, and my search pulled this one up as well...
to me it would be welcome as just another choice for consideration, nothing to get bent about.
jeez! sometimes i think some of the people here are gonna have a coronary if they get to work and notice they have one black sock...and one blue sock on!
when the've missed the whole point that they have more than one flavor of sock to choose from!
i don't know if many here really understand that NONE OF THE GRADING COMPANIES actually mint any of the U.S. coinage...they just
house them!
and it may be a shock to some that regardless of the name on the plastic...sometimes the metal inside is just as good!
(we are speaking of bullion gold....uh...modern crap)

Well, first of all it's against eBay rules. Their sandbox, their rules.
If someone is looking for PCGS certified coins, it's just a waste of their time to open up an auction and find out it's not PCGS certified. Sure, it's just 2 seconds, but there are a lot of keyword spammers out there, and if your search is fairly broad, you could end up wasting a lot of time.
Conversely, let's say you're looking for a very specific coin. You've got your search narrowed down so that it will pick out just one single coin. Bang! It's a hit, but when you go to the auction it's just a lame keyword spammer. How frustrating is that?

Yes, there are a lot keyword spammers out there. Ok, instead of wasting 2 seconds on a lot that you have no interest in you spent 30 seconds. How much time did you waste coming to this forum and complaining about it? Then checking back for responses? Then answering those responses?
I still don't get it when one considers the real problems with Ebay--the counterfiets, the spoofed/stolen accounts, the non-paying buyers, the non-delivering sellers, etc.
This is not to say that I don't understand the uses of a properly laid out search query--just that I don't see why so many get so hot about it.

I don't consider my time spent on this forum as wasted time. The knowledged gained here is very valuable.

Those are problems as well, and are dealt with as best I can also.
