Do you ship to people with Unverified PayPal Accounts?

Someone won my auction who doesn't have a PayPal confirmed shipping address or verified address and I will not be ineligible for PayPal protection against fraudulent chargebacks. The person just started on eBay and has two positive feedbacks in the last week.
Does anyone have any experience or recommendations/comments on the risk on sending the item to this person?
Thanks,
Charlie

Your best protection IMO is shipping insurance.

If they are unconfirmed, I'm not sure even if they confirm, you'll get the notification that they are confirmed on the auction in question.
There is also one other catch that sellers should know about.
If a buyer pays via paypal to a group of sellers at the same time with an unverified address, PAYPAL WILL accpet the payment even though you have the box checked to not accept payments from unverified buyerrs.
You have to go into your E-Bay preferences and unclick accepting payments from batched buyers payments.
Good luck and seller beware!!!

I have a confirmed address but I'll use my unconfirmed address (work) because I can't count on anyone being home when the mail is delivered. At work the secretary will sign for the package and put it in my desk or hold it for me. I usually ask the seller if they'll ship to an unconfirmed address and in most cases they will. I've offered telephone numbers and any other contact information as necessary.

I have 160 'unverified' purchases in my account history, and I have yet to have a seller refuse to complete the deal because I don't have a verified account. If someone demads that I get verified, I will offer them another form of payment -- and if that is not satisfactory, we can agree not to complete the transaction.

<< <i>There is an option at PayPal that you can set to refuse payments by people with unverified accounts. That way they get the message directly from PayPal and you don't have to return payment or anything. I have shipped to people with unverified PayPal accounts after they have written to me with a believable explanation of why they are not verified. >>
Same here!
<< <i>I have a long-standing Paypal account with a confirmed address. But I am unverified because I refuse to link my Paypal account to one of my bank accounts. I have read horror stories about Paypal locking your bank account for any number of reasons (such as a buyer paying with a stolen credit card). I just don't trust Paypal and feel it is more than sufficient to be linked to a credit card and to have a confirmed address. >>
The horror stories are mostly overblown, but many people do feel more secure by opening an additional checking account for the sole purpose of linking to PayPal.
I used to, but set my account to only accept transactions from confirmed addresses about a year ago.
I only had one buyer complaint, because now it brings up a PayPal screen asking for your credit card number to confirm the address.
I've never had a chargeback (knock on wood)

Those horror stories are just that, stories. Paypal has NO ability to control your bank account, only your Paypal account. I do completely understand those that dont want to tie their credit card or bank account to their Paypal (my account was hacked and milked for about $500 a couple of weeks ago), but they can not lock your bank account. That would be a breech of trust from your bank to allow them that type of access.

You can use a Savings account. Works the same as checking.
The routing number is always the same for your bank, it's the account number that's different, so if your account number is checking or savings doesn't matter. Just an FYI.
