    Work for DFAS, Defense Finance and Accounting Service, we pay the military and also maintain their pay accounts and all the financial records related to paying the military....getting short though and will retire next year...I"m a civil servant.

    That is funny there is a guy who works for DFAS on the board. I work for DCMA as a Contracts Administrator. DCMA is the Defense Contract Management Agency, which does a lot of work with DFAS.

    Thanks for the compliment for working at DFAS....we try our best to keep the paychecks going out for the active duty, reserve and also retired military.....noticed some contractor comments also...that's ok as long as you don't take my job.......unfortunately a lot of government is going the contract route.....all the retirees from the military already have their pay accounts managed by a contractor.....

    just to let everyone know there are a lot of DFAS folks I work with who are also collectors.....I'm at the Cleveland center but we have folks in Indianapolis, Kansas City and Denver and I've met a lot of card collectors over the years......
