it's an intriquing game. I wonder if many people have spent lots of time in the population reports, in the grey sheet , and mulling over every bit of numismatic news they can get their hands on since the announcement of this game.

i thought it was a great idea but the timing of it is bad.
i will not join as a PCGS member just for the game.
i will wait until i have some coins to submit and join
    at that time.

maybe they will have it next year and the bugs will be
worked out of it at that time! beta testers thank you.

How about a 2006 Coin World Series? Don't have to join PCGS, pool $50 into a pot, MAY 06 to MAY 07...use CW trends. Someone smarter than me and more time can open a website for collectors to submit their ten thousand dollar dream portfolio. Just thinking outloud....

    I am going to pass.

    Several reasons:

I am a collector that buys coins primarily for my enjoyment in the long term, not for short-term trading. I do not think in these terms and do not want to change my mindset to do so.

The PCGS Price Guide, for the coins that I know and understand pricing, is way off. I have not figured out a way to work this to my advantage.

Like many coin "games", insiders and those connected always seem to win. Why bother?

While everyone here could presumably use the $10,000, some could probably use it more than others. I would rather see someone like Cladiator win it to afford a new truck, Airplanenut or JrGman to pay college tuition, or SaintGuru to buy a new gem Saint image . I would really like to see a deserving YN win.
