Not sure why he would chuckle, that is a pretty neat error.

<< <i>i don`t get it... how could the die strike the device facing the opposite direction??? >>
A previous struck coin was stuck to the reverse die, still heads side up, and then the very next blank planchet was struck off-center, resulting in a heads-inverted heads strike. The "Off-Centered Rev. Brockage" (Correct me if I am wrong) has a really nice, strong strike which you normally don't see, which I think makes it much much nicer.
Correct me if I am wrong in any part above.

I saw the coin last time it was listed and thought it was VERY cool. Truth is, though, I didn't know if it was the real deal. With Fred in there, I have to assume that it may very well be. If it is genuine, it is extremely rare and, even without a date, is likely worth much more than the opening of $1000.
The strike is in incuse on one side and relief on the other. you can tell by looking at the letters, they are backwards on the one side that is incuse or recesed. the coin was struck out of collar which explains the no reeding. It was most likley struck as a blank on top of a already stuck half dollar. The pressure caused the struck coin underneath to become the "die" for the coin on top, in this case it was an off center "heads" side of a Kennedy half. Quite amazing really.
Listing states that it has been offered before, and no one wanted it?
<< <i>Kennedy Half dollar with 2 heads. Look at the pictures of this rare error and judge for yourself. I offered this on ebay a while ago and had only 1 serious offer. Here is the same coin, with bidding starting at 1/2 what I offered it before. This is a genuine U.S. mint error coin. It is copper clad and has no ridge around the edge. There are multiple errors on this great coin. >>
Seller is puterguy1953 (0), that has zero feedback, with member since Jan 22-06, when was this coin offered before? Who offered it before? Even if the coin was struck with two obv dies used, would one strike the coin backwards? In order to get the mirror image, wouldn't one side need to be struck by a coin and not a die? If one side was struck with another coin, would the detail be there (same hardness metal)?

<< <i>How do they know it is a 1974? I can't se the date anywhere. >>
I guess they pulled it from an original roll.
I'll bet that Mike Byers will come in last second
That's a teriffic error though. Well worth the $1,000 bid.
