At a sizeable commercial show held in Warren, MI attendance seemed brisk. One dealer had just purchased a sizable collection that contained many nice collector coins. The nice coins from that collection were selling very well. I bought an original, problem-free, raw 1928-S Standing Liberty Quarter in AU50. This is the first original, problem-free AU Standing Liberty I have seen in several months (I have seen plenty of cleaned/dipped ones.)
There was an abundance of Barber Halves at this show. Virtually all of the original ones were VG and below. There were also a fair number of XF-AU Barber Halves but it appeared to me that all of them had been cleaned or dipped at some time.
While there were plenty of Morgans, they didn't dominate the show.

I used to live in MI, such a poor economy for so many years now.
But I am sure there is enough money in the Detroit area to keep
coin dealers happy.
