The SRT went and dynoed and made big power.. OT.. added a Roosie
After a new engine build, fully ported/polished big valve race head, bigger turbo and 1000cc injectors, my daily driver now makes 636hp and 596ft tq...
and I'll add a Roosie... this is a coin forum for Petes sake..

This car will easily trap well into the 130's now..
and now for this raw Jewel of a Roosie..

Oh, nice Roosie.
<< <i>That's not bad at all Lucy.

You never know but the engine is now fully built with special forged pistons and high hp rods, fully balanced.
It was built for this power level....
That hp that you see on the dyno sheet is at the wheels.... so figure at the crank she is making a heck of alot more power...

And that is where the motor will bust loosy goosy.
In my old(younger days of munchin down on mops and Fords- we pumped some volume in a 454 4 bolt had it dyno'd out to 1600hp, what a sweet thing it WAS- ran like a rabbit in heat- until one fine chilly morning- had a vette pull up wanting to play- thought I had it clicked in 1st, let the clutch sing to 7000 r's and dumped it- only to watch a $700 piston fly thru the side wall of my elco- that burned my hide - I put just a tad over 9K in that motor and a friggin 3 in body/paint work.
I r sad I need to burn off smoe steam...
Should run in the Nines !
Till the trans and convertor gives it up !

I don't suppose you saved the dyno slips.

I run 93 horses to the rear wheel & turn a 12.88/119. So I know the thrill.

I don't even keep my tax returns past the 4th year- this is not a keep for grade.
Fitting for the boost gauge !

and in the 4 inch inlet, it has a few rim dings keeping it out of GEM status...

Cant get enough tire on it !
put a soft touch rev limiter on it at say 4500 in low so it will hook up and pick up all the holes in 2nd and ya might have smoething !
Those are some great numbers on the SRT. I just sold almost $1000 in Neon race parts over the past two weeks. Custom parts are hard to let go
Positive BST: WhiteThunder (x2), Ajaan, onefasttalon, mirabela, Wizard1, cucamongacoin, mccardguy1
Negative BST: NONE!

AGP had them done, though they don't offer them in their product line, they were contacted and told the HepKitty wanted over 600hp, so they did these by special order...

<< <i>17% at the crank is the normally considered figure that I hear....so who is good at math? >>
The 17% is for a rear drive automatic. The general rule for a front drive manual trans is 7%. With 636 WHP a high 8 second pass could be made if the car is light enough and everything else is perfect. Lucy- I think you will need a liscense and a fire suit to drive that thing at the strip- let's see some pics of you in the skin tight fire suit
my Chevys used ta run 11,000 !
and that aint BS
pull the valve covers every run and check the springs !

1,600 HP for 9K? I find that hard to believe..............

no my redline is 6500 rpm...
the dyno operator was letting off when the shift light was turning on... i have it set at 5800rpm...
we didnt snap to this till after the sessions were complete, I believe the car would have made a few more horsepower had we taken her to 6500rpm...

Yum! I have your poor cousin, the bug-eyed WRX wagon, with 227HP. (Gotta have a wagon for my dawg!)

Why be mad about losing to a much quicker car? Because it's a 4-cylinder? If that's the case you will be really angry if you go to the strip
