Good thing I learned to listen to you guys never buy anything but PCGS

I almost pulled the trigger on this CCGS slabbed Morgan dollar.
I can't believe how I almost bid.
Man you guys saved my butt. It's probably no better than an AU 50.

    PCGS, CCGS, close enough.
  • Looks like a steal to me!

    OMG - A mistake listing? A counterfeit?

    I mean, even in AU50...

Oh, wait, I get it - you're being sarcastic, right?

Note to self - I wonder if the seller claims a posting error... Seems it was missing a zero.

    Ya probably.
And being an 1894 Philadelphia mint Morgan it sure can't be worth what the guy was asking.

Gotta be either a removed mint mark or the reverse of a different coin. Being in a Coin World holder, who can say?
  • So, whatever happened to good ole DCGS?

    Relisted at correct price.

I use the term "correct" smoewhat reluctantly.

Wonder what happened to the binner?

most serious sellers probably submit rare coins - especially rarer ones like mid 90's morgans - to PCGS, that one probably came back BB but in either case, they know it is either not slabable with a real grader or such a low grade that they get the FBNs to slab them.

I'm surprised some don't have their own slabs made and do it themselves! (a thousand scammers are scrathing their heads saying, "hmmm")

ACG dealers never die. They just start selling some other crap.
  • Those holders are not even sealed.
There is a notch on the side, if a screwdriver
is inserted, it will open up undamaged.

Isn't that logo the same as the salad company Fresh Express??

tells me the coin isn't worth more than a bag of lettuce.
  • That coin is VF, if that. It's one miserable looking POS, in my opinion. Even if it's genuine, and even being generous and giving the seller the AU-58, he's smoking some pretty good crack if he thinks he can get $1650 for it. CoinFacts has it being sold for $718, on a good day.
If you haven't noticed, I'm single and miserable and I've got four albums of bitching about it that I would offer as proof.
