Ouch. a bit of irony in the title, I thought it would be a happy story. Sorry to hear the bad news.

Sounds like he had a dream job and threw it all away. Sometimes people like that don't deserve a darn thing yet they make it, while others who bust their butts still get the wrong end.

Hope everything works out for you EagleEye. I'd love to get into a coin shop even as a janitor image

If your ex-employee starts dealing coins, it would be nice to let us know who he is so we can avoid this crook.

Yeah, not really what I was expecting either. I hope works out in the end, however if a drug problem is involved then I think any coins he owes you are long gone.

Rick - sorry to hear your story. Your friend's behavior (and sense of entitlement) sounds pretty typical for someone with a drug problem. Hopefully things will work out in your favor, and he will eventually seek out the help he needs.

I am fighting his ludicrous lawsuit that he owns half THE PRINCIPLE of Eagle Eye's inventory of CWT's and WI quarters, and I am suing him for the return of the Monitor collection.

Does your attorney know about this post?

Sounds like he needs to help himself before anybody else can help him.....

    it's all public domain.

Perhaps. And it might feel good right now to vent a bit. But I suspect your attorney would have a mighty big frown on his face if he came across it on the internet.

Back in the early 90's I had two employees embezzle $10 grand from me while I was in the hospital recouping from a near fatal heart attack. They had the kahonies to have their attorney contact mine requesting the commissions they felt they had earned after I fired them. My attorney had a lot of fun with that one.

Looking forward to tomorrow's story! image

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
