That is a great project for the scouts to take on. If you are looking for any *searched* hords(teens to fifties) to let them go through and fill some spots I'll donate my hord.
You give them a few free coins until they're addicted and then..............

Awesome! I've got a bunch of old Whitmans and circulated wheat cents that I will send to people who want to do the same thing with kids. Just PM me with details of what you need.
Hey TommyB, that is exactly how I started so so many years ago. A Whitman penny board and a dishful of Lincolns I was allowed to look thru after a grownup cardgame. Way to go and if we all light that spark in just 1 kid.....
Hey, that is great. You gave them an early start. The Boy and Girl Scouts both have coin collecting merit badges. The Central Florida Coin Club gives a coin seminar to the scouts at their show and reviews their projects.
WOW!!!! Outstanding...good for you and the kids...hard to believe that they grow up so fast!!!

Good for you.
We're going to have to try that at our coin meeting coming up later this year.
<< <i>thats an 11 on the coolness meter!
"Exactly."
That takes us all back, doesn't it?

Ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies.
I wish we had done a coin collection rather than build bird houses out of popcicle sticks. (It's kinda hard to turn that into a life long hobby).
<< <i>that was a seriously cool thing to do. >>
The "feel good" post of the day! Too cool.

The girl scouts should try this too. Very few females seem to be into this hobby.

<< <i>Fantastic. My son is 5 and almost old enought to start. Unfortunately my wife does not want him touching old dirty money.
REMIND HIM OF THAT IN ABOUT 10 YEARS. HE'LL WANT TO TOUCH ALL YOUR MONEY, DIRTY OR NOT.
