1971 S 40% Silver 'Blue Ike' sold for $81. Why?
Tonight, an eBay listing of mine for a 1971 S 40% Silver 'Blue Ike' sold for $81.
The eBay Listing
I know nothing about Ike varieties and I have no idea what the bidders saw in it. I asked the high bidder, but in his response he only said that he'd have to see it first to know what variety it is. Two people bid over $80 for a coin that books for about $7, so they had to see something. Here is the photo they saw...

Any ideas anyone?
The funny thing is that this is a relisted item. It sold about a month ago for $5 and the buyer never paid for it. So if it is something rare, then people missed it the first go around. I bought this Ike in a large lot of mint sets and figure I had about $3 in it. Not a bad return.

It could possibly be the "other..straighter" Peg-Leg, but can't really tell from the pic. It looks like there might
be a bit of a flare on the left side of the bottom of the R...which would mean it isn't.
Either way...I don't see this coin grading very high with the scrapes accross the obverse.
Maybe it was a 2-person fight to see who could get to 220 feedback first?
