  I'm not an expert on seated dimes, but usually a mention of the mint marks size is only made if more than one size is used during the year. So if a small and large S are listed for 1890 it woud be because both sizes exist. If no mention is made for 1891 then only one size is known, but we don't know what size it was. So it is possible that ALL 1891-S dimes use small S mintmarks.

  thanx for the input . both the dimes in the battom pic are 1891 and the s is not the same.the one on the left i found last year the one on the right is the one that i am not sure of what it is it looks like a S but the book has no refrence to a small s . but it dose refrence a o/o .my coin mag has a refrence for a s/s but the red book dosen't . so would you say it is a 1891 small s or could it be s/s or o/o ? is there a place that i could find a pic of the o/o and s/s ?
  once again the bottom pic is of 2 1891 dimes.

  The '91-S has two different mint mark sizes. Gerry Fortin's reference web-book -- which has become the de facto standard for Seated Dime varieties -- indicates that the '91-S has a "small S" and a "medium S" variety. The San Francisco Mint used two different mint mark punches with different sizes in 1891.
  
  In your second picture, the one on the left is a "medium S" and the one on the right is a "small S."

  there we go . thank you so much . thought it had to be some were . the red book had nothing about it .
  thanx for the help . the 10x loop i have dosn't show if it's a S over S or just a small s .

  There is a LOT that is not in the Redbook. But the Rdbook was never meant to be an all inclusive reference, just a general guide. And as a guide it does an excellent job. But the more you advance as a collector the more you will find that you need more specialized, more comprehensive works.
