1829 Bust Half O-118 *pics added*

I'll have to wait to post a pic until I get home and take smoe photos, but since a lot of you are almost done on the evening shift before I get home, so I'll ask the question now.

Are there any 1829 Bust Half attributions other than the O-118 which have the filled first "A" in America and the high 9 in the date? Can anybody tell me the population in PCGS - there is only a pop 1 coin listed on the NGC site, in VF. I thought this strange since the R-4 rating would indicate a chance of more being in plastic.

Like I said, I'll image it tonight and add it to the thread - any preliminary help from the Bust experts is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Keith

Looks like it is an O-117 image

No. A couple have high 9's, and several have one or more filled A's. Now, the same reverse is used on O-117, but the obverse marriage is totally different. For a quick check, look at the lowest point of star 7. On the O-117, it points into the corner formed where the headband and front hair lock meet. On the O-118, it points over the lock of hair.

Heritage say they have only handled 2 in the last 15 years, or somthing like that. Both an NGC and ANACS in VF20 were sold in 2005.

Based on your diagnostic, it's an O-117

    Thanks for the help.

Just for future reference..... the "Pop" has really nothing to do as far as how many could have been graded by NGC. Some could have been graded before they offered this service. Also, this is an extra fee service so again, many could have a certain attribution without noting it on the holder.

Yeah, but what do you think of the coin? Is it a correct attribution?

I didn't look sorry. I just wanted to point out what I did. Truth be known, while I am indeed a Bust half collector exclusevely..... I really don't like to attribute that much anymore unless I really need to do so. Some folks enjoy it, I just don't anymore.
