Mercury Dime 1942/1

Hello..I am new and just learning..How do I identify a Mercury Dime 1942/1?? Thanks for any help!image

    You need to get a Red Book. That and hundreds of other coins are photographed there. Another place would be to go onto the Heritage web site (you will have to sign up, but there is no charge) and look under Auction Archives. They have photo's there, as well.
    PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows.
    I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

    I finally saw on close up a few weeks ago and it is super easy to tell.....

    Never a coin I really looked at getting so.....

    Mercury dimes are sweet however
