It may just be the images, but this coin looks a little odd to me. Not a lot, just a little. It reminds me of a pencil rubbing. I'm also curious about the brown spot under Liberty's chin. I still have a lot to learn, so don't let my comments bother you. There are many folks here who know a lot about Morgans that won't hesitate to correct me if my impression is wrong.
Could you enlarge the pic a little....might help. But from what I am looking at yes..authentic, and good - fine grade??? I could be way off.....pics on internet tough.
Was that guess of vf-35 overly optimistic? I was thinking at most Vf-20, that being said I love nicely worn, battleship grey, looks like well loved coin that got some use.

that scratch right buy her nose is the only thing that I'm worrying about. I will have to get a close up picture of that.
