The 1830 appears to have a scratch that extends through the portrait and may get a BB. Further, and it may just be the color in the picture, the color looks off as if it may have been bleached. I hope that I am wrong on both counts. EF40 seems right.
The 1871-cc looks to be VG10 or F12. I believe F12 is on the best day and quite possibly too optimistic

1871 G-4 not guite enouph of the letters in Liberty for more.
