polyester cotton cause pvc damage?

I know plastic is bad, universally. Polyester is essentially plastic, right ? (Im askin)

Came across a nice wood display case and thinking of putting something together, box is buffered with this stuff, in the interim ill leave coins in thier airtites for protection, I guess that's safest.

If the overall effect of this is nice, Ill post a pic.

Plastic is NOT always bad. In fact most plastics are harmless. (Believe it or not pure PVC isn't really that hazardous to coins. The problem with PVC flips is a combination of several factors coming together. Each of them by themselves fairly harmless, but in combination very damaging.)

Yes, polyester is a type of plastic. But since it contains no PVC (Polyvinylchloride, a DIFFERENT type of plastic) it can't cause PVC damage.
