Anyone have a pic of a nice DCAM Accent Hair Kennedy?
I remember a while back someone here had made a nice 67dcam.
If you have really nice big photos of the DCAM I would like to take a good look at them please.
thanks
Michelle

Hey, that is a pretty good site! Where'd you find that at?

I do have a question regarding Accent Hair Kennedys. Does PCGS grade coins such as the Accent Hair differently then they would grade a more modern Kennedy, like a 70's or 80's proof? From reading your information, and from what I gathered from Google, it seems that there was not a lot of care taken when producing these proof coins. Does PCGS take into account these factors? I dont think I am really expressing my thoughts exactly, but maybe you can understand what I am trying to ask.

They actually grade them tougher than later dates; particularly when it comes to granting the DCAM designation. This is the case for coins up through 1970. Send them a weak 2005, (or basically any year from about 1980 on), and get an automatic DCAM. Send them a strong coin from the 1950 to 1970 era and the stars better be aligned correctly.

That's an oxymoron IMO!!

<< <i>So even though milk spots and a weak strike are commonplace for the Accent Hair, PCGS grades them and possibly deducts for these inherent problems? >>
Yep, PCGS makes no allowance for the fact that the coins by nature tend to have more problems than the regular variety.

That was actually pretty funny.
Thanks, Weiss. It's the crown jewel of my set. It's also the last one PCGS has graded, now almost three years ago.
