10,000 cents giveaway for my 10,000th post ==WINNER ANNOUNCED==
Even though Conder hasn't reached 10,000 yet this thread has fallen back in the pages and I don't think anybody will guess any closer, so...
Rafael Rios ripped me off for $1,048.26
The winner is MarineEAS1999 who guessed $1,048. Please PM me your address.
Since the guesses ranged from $22 to $3235 the odds of hitting it that close are over 3,000 to 1 so there may be some Congressional investigation into this contest. If MarineEAS1999 turns out to actually be Rafael Rios, he'll win an arrest warrant instead!
You can still make a donation to the USO by following the link below. For as little as $25 you can send a Care Package which contains items that the soliders have asked for such as phone cards, sunscreen and disposable cameras.

Well, get real, I’m not going to give any of you people $100.
But I will donate $100 to the USO in the winners name plus send you a 1991-S USO Silver $1 Proof in the US Mint box for your collection.
If you would like to make a donation to the USO you can follow this link to donate.
There is a war going on and the USO does provide a good service to all of the people who are serving in our armed forces, so it’s a good cause.
I’d prefer to make you work for your prize, but instead I’ll make it easy by combining my respect for one of the top contributors to this forum along with my distain for the nice people on eBay, with a two-step entry process:
First, since Conder101 is having a 10,000th post giveaway (and he’s giving away a REAL coin) just reply to his thread and thank him for his contributions on this forum. A majority of his 10,000 posts are informative, while a majority of my 10,000 posts consist of useless observations, mindless drivel, and making fun of the chuckleheads.
Second, I’ve only been ripped off on eBay in one case where I haven’t gotten my money back (yet) and that was by Rafael Rios. His local police department let him go, but the US Postal Inspectors say they’ll eventually arrest him (if they can find him). Beware of all the eBay weasels!!
So to enter, guess how much money Rafael stole from me. The closest guess will be the winner and in case of a tie, the first post will win. The contest will end once Conder reaches his 10,00th post and ends his giveaway.
One last thing – I’d like to take the opportunity to also thank coinguy1 and BillJones for their contributions to this forum who, along with Conder101, I think make up the top 3 contributors to this forum. I won't mention who rounds out the top four, because, well, you know who you are
And thanks to all the rest of you for your insights, advice, coin pictures and stories that make this forum both informative and entertaining!

<< <i> $1048?.... I lost on e-bay too ...but only for $100. Sorry man >>
Hmm that does seem a bit suspicious to me. It could have only been $100 that you lost and no one here would have known it (hence the guesses of ~$200 saying they hoped they were too high).
Yet this person seems to have known that you lost much more than $100 by saying but only for $100. I don't know very many people who say "only $100" like it's not a lot of money to be ripped off on if they know you must have been ripped for a lot more. I don't know enough about this (or anything for that matter) but I agree that it is very suspicious this person guessed so close to the actual amount. Perhaps if they are not Mr. Rios, they know him.
The investigation has concluded and no improprieties have been found.
The State Gaming Commission has authorized the payout!
Congratulations Kenneth!
