Didn't you know SGS used the 100 point scale?

So it's 70/100 which converted to the 70 point scale (.7*70) is 49

Round it up to the nearest grade and you got yourself an AU50

Edited to add: The coin in the auction looks like AU too

That's a pretty sweet deal for a 70 graded coin though, no? After all, the 1/2/06 issue of Coin Values puts it at $1000. Heck, the PCGS Price Guide doesn't even list a price for a 70.

How do you know that Russ is not bidding? Like most savvy well-known cherrypickers, he probably has at least one separate ebay buying account, possibly more than one.

You are all missing out on a great opportunity. This is a 1964-S Kennedy - that S mint Kennedy ought to be worth alot more than the current bid of $51.

SGS slabs are just a big joke - too bad the buyers don't have a clue that they are buying junk in a holder.

Buying a coin in a sgs slab is like buying a lottery ticket - you know the odds of getting a winner are 1 in a 1,000,000 or better.

Note to newbies: If it could be get into a real slab; it would already be there.

Russ does not seem to buy junk that is over graded in a junk holder. Chances are that coin has a weak strike and it is a 68 or lower.

This is exactly why there is a PCGS filter on the ebay coin search. I never see this kind of crap. Like someone already said, if it it was that good of coin it would be in a PCGS holder!!!!!!

What I'll never understand is how a seller can rip off bidders like this and still have a 100% feedback rating. This is the quality of coin I unload by the roll.
